Behavior Dynamics and Quantitative Analysis of Behavior Laboratory

Quantitative analysis of behavior includes describing, forecasting and explaining behavior using mathematical equations. In practice, this work involves more modeling and traditional, nontraditional and Bayesian statistics than many other approaches to behavior analysis. A major focus of the lab is describing, predicting and explaining how and why behavior changes in time and in response to changes in the environment using quasidynamic and dynamic models of choice, discrimination, and timing.

The lab is considering applications from WVU undergraduates and potential graduate students who are interested in quantitative approaches to describing and explaining behavior. We are setting up to run pigeons in 3-key operant chambers and have lots of room to grow! Please contact Dr Kyonka if you are interested in becoming involved.
